9“ฉะนั้น ท่านควรจะอธิษฐานดังนี้ว่า
“ ‘ข้าแต่พระบิดาของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายผู้สถิตในสวรรค์
ขอให้พระนามของพระองค์เป็นที่เทิดทูนสักการะ
10 ขอให้อาณาจักรของพระองค์ได้รับการสถาปนาไว้
ขอให้พระประสงค์ของพระองค์สำเร็จในโลกเช่นเดียวกับในสวรรค์

11 ขอโปรดประทานอาหารประจำวันแก่ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายในวันนี้

12 ขอทรงยกหนี้ให้ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย
เหมือนที่ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายได้ยกหนี้ให้ผู้ที่เป็นหนี้ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายเช่นกัน

13 และขออย่าให้ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายล้มลงเมื่อถูกทดลอง
แต่ขอทรงช่วยข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายให้พ้นจากมารร้าย’

14 เพราะถ้าท่านอภัยให้ผู้ที่ทำผิดต่อท่าน พระบิดาของท่านในสวรรค์จะทรงอภัยให้ท่านด้วย 

15 แต่ถ้าท่านไม่ยอมอภัยบาปผิดของผู้อื่นพระบิดาก็จะไม่อภัยบาปผิดของท่านเช่นกัน
